First Weber Group Announces WRA Gives Distinguished Service Awards
Posted 10/05/2009Madison, WI – The Wisconsin REALTORS® Association (WRA) recently awarded the Distinguished Service Award to members and staff who have provided many years of leadership and distinguished service to the WRA.
REALTOR® Ron Zahrt of Wausau was presented with the Distinguished Service Award at the WRA’s Annual Convention in mid-September. Zahrt is president and an owner/partner of First Weber Group Northern Wisconsin, LLC. He has served in many capacities for local and state associations, including serving as president of the Central Wisconsin MLS and as a board member for the Central Wisconsin Board of REALTORS®. He has also served on numerous state-level committees for the WRA.
The Distinguished Service Award was established in 1985, and is the highest award conferred by the WRA. Recipients are those who have demonstrated a high level of commitment to the WRA, and who have contributed a substantial amount of time, effort and creative imagination to the association.
In addition to his service to REALTOR® organizations, Zahrt is active in his local community as a member of the Wausau Early Bird Rotary Club and the Employer’s in Support of the Guard and Reserves, as well as being United Way Volunteer of the Year in Marathon County. He is also a cancer survivor who represents Congressional District 7 in the American Cancer Society’s Action Council.
